Kitchen expansion with beautiful beadboard and baton ceilings in North Glenora

Here we opened up a half wall between the kitchen and living room.
We were trying to find a way to finish the ceiling in something other than drywall/plaster and decided on a beadboard and baton.
Maintaining the lower half of the existing wall gave us the opportunity of more storage and counter space, as well as a home for the range; it is a lovely thing to have an island stove.
We dressed the beam and posts in poplar, blending harmoniously with the cabinet doors.
Another successful kitchen renovation in an older bungalow, making it more functional and contemporary.
